Senior agency team members are consummate and experienced strategists–informed by research, guided by best practices, and focused on results. We have particular strategic expertise and experience in the tourism and cultural sectors. All campaigns and assignments we undertake on behalf of clients are strategically grounded, with clearly articulated objectives, audience profiles, key messages and motivators, and results metrics. Strategies are developed in consultation with and approved by clients as the first key step in our process, and provide the guidelines within which media plans and creative executions are developed and executed.
Our media team manages millions in media investments by our clients annually–providing strategy, planning, buying, trafficking, monitoring and analytics services. As charter members of the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada, we long ago embraced digital, interactive, mobile and social media platforms and continue to lead the way in leveraging new media for our clients. At the same time, we’ve resisted the rush to dismiss traditional media, and encourage clients wherever possible to strive for multiple, integrated media touch-points with their audiences. We drive a hard bargain with all media, ensuring maximum reach and impact for our clients’ investments. We utilize all media measurement tools and services at our disposal. And we closely monitor campaigns and make adjustments to optimize performance and provide detailed reports on media performance to our clients.
Our team believes that creative motivates best when it is emotive, and seeks to create breakthrough campaigns that touch hearts and move audiences to act–while never underestimating their intelligence. We have a fully-integrated team led by our Creative Director, with English and French copywriters, a core group of extremely talented art directors and interactive designers, on-staff video editors and animators. All are adept at creating powerful messaging for all media platforms-traditional, digital and social. We believe there is no single answer to any creative problem, enjoy and encourage client input on creative, and believe in and leverage the power of research to ensure the messaging we propose will have maximum effect. We encourage clients to regard us as an extension of their Marcoms team, and are fully cognizant of the central role of clients in the success of what we do. Recognizing that our key assets are our people, Mediaplus has created an environment and approach that fosters and supports collaboration, individual growth, continuous learning, and respect. Account teams are led and projects are managed by an account director, with each team member taking the lead on his or her area of expertise. We believe in and practice open and frequent communications with client teams, and have regularly scheduled meetings with clients to review, evaluate and adjust campaigns and specific assignments as required. We employ proprietary project management and media tracking software to manage workflow and to ensure quality control. All account teams include members who are fluent in both English and French.

Don is Mediaplus’ founder, a widely-respected strategic thinker and prolific creative force this year marking his 30th year in the advertising and marketing communications field. Don plays an active and direct role in strategic planning and development on all key agency accounts, while leading the creative development process and team. Comfortable in all media, Don has won international, national and local awards for his work on behalf of clients in a diverse range of sectors. A graduate of Carleton University’s School of Journalism, Don is a frequent guest speaker and media commentator on advertising and communications, and was the inaugural advertising inductee into the Algonquin College Media Hall of Fame.

Christine Kincaid is Mediaplus Advertising’s Vice President of Client Services. In this capacity she is responsible for ensuring the delivery of highly responsive and strategic services by the Client/Media Services team to all of the agency’s clients across a range of sectors from B2C to B2B. In addition, she directly manages some of the agency’s largest clients including Canada Post Corporation, the Canadian Produce Marketing Association, the Ottawa Convention Centre and Emtec, a leading US-based information technology company and acts in an Account Supervisory capacity on the University of Ottawa account. In working with these clients, Christine is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, cost control and reporting as well as project implementation and evaluation for integrated campaigns.

A Mediaplus partner, Jennifer is an accomplished strategic planner and account supervisor who joined the agency in 2010 following a decade of senior-level experience with national advertising and interactive agencies in Toronto. These included Draft Worldwide and Publicis Canada, where she managed large national and multinational accounts including HP/Compaq, Rogers Communications, Hudson’s Bay Company, Home Outfitters, the Ontario Ministry of Health, Nestle Purina Petcare, Purolator Canada, Grand and Toy, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. In 2007, she was appointed VP Managing Partner of Publicis Modem, a position she held until joining Mediaplus, where she began her advertising career in 1990.
